Markmaking to abstraction workshop

Spend the morning with me creating bold, loose and free abstract markmaking, before cropping to identify areas suitable for taking forward into larger paintings in the afternoon. We will learn to find the hidden surprises - the marks we love and the colours which delight us in our initial paper exercise, then take these forward into a larger abstract work on a ready prepared board.

All materials including a prepared board, paints, other media and mark-making tools will be provided, and participants are free to bring along any favourite tools and materials if they wish.

Light lunch provided.
